Primary Purpose: Assist Technology Department in daily support related activities
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
Technology Certification(s) preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of computer hardware
Knowledge of computer workstation setup
Knowledge of Google, Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications
Ability to move computers and peripherals
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting tasks
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Ability to climb a ladder and work and perform assigned tasks
Experience:
Technology experience in a K-12 public school system
Working Conditions:
Climbing, stooping, bending and kneeling
Frequent use of small hand tools and electronic test equipment
Frequent district wide travel
Occasional prolonged and irregular hours
May be required to work immediately before, during or after an emergency or disaster.
Occasional work may be required in equipment access spaces such as attics, basements, crawl spaces, subfloors, and other similar, adverse conditions and environments
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide technical assistance to users of computers, instructional equipment, and software.
- Install or relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed
- Assist with installation of network cabling, AV Systems and network peripherals throughout the district.
- Diagnose and repair equipment, including printers, terminals, and computers.
- Collect and repair student devices.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data communications circuits and equipment.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of security cameras.
- Maintain equipment according to established preventive maintenance schedule.
- Maintain district inventory, and warranty repair claims.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing and carrying.
- Maintains organizational communication between the Technology Department and all employees
- Relays relevant technology information to the organization in a timely manner
- Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly
- Support the mission and goals of Community ISD
- Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rule, and board policy
- Participate in professional development to improve skills related to job assignment
- Oversee Student Technicians while in the Braves Tech Shop.

- Demonstrate professional, ethical and responsible behavior
- Perform other duties as assigned

Equipment Used: Hand or standard power tools for electronic repairs and cable installations, personal computers and peripherals.
