Primary Purpose:
The educational technology coordinator will facilitate and oversee the use of technology and delivery of curricula while working with teachers through a variety of instructional methodologies. The primary focus of the position is to strengthen the technology integration skills of all faculty and staff in order to ensure all students in CISD are successful learners.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's Degree in education or related field, preferred Teacher certification
Certifications relevant to instructional technology

Able to build positive trusting relationships with all staff Evidence of leadership qualities and skills
Demonstrates excellent knowledge of technology applications Communicates effectively

Knowledge and understanding of current research based instructional technology strategies
Experience:
Minimum 5 years classroom teaching experience with successful performance evaluations
Experience working with adult learners using instructional technology
Experience in planning and leading professional development at the campus or district level
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
The major responsibilities of the educational technology coordinator include documented activities and support such as facilitating technology implementation, support classroom instructional technology needs, sharing successful strategies, providing feedback to principals, supporting PLC meetings, designing and attending central office coordinated professional development and curriculum/assessment coordination.
Other Responsibilities:
- Visits to all campuses at least weekly
- Current at all times on research and best practices related to technology integration into the core curricula.
- Assists district and campus administration in identifying campus problem areas regarding technology integration.
- Considered the district expert on technology integration.
- Monitors the use of instructional technology to ensure that resources and activities enhance rigorous academic
content.
- Co-teaches and models technology integration in instruction as needed
- Designs and leads staff development
- Collaborates with principals, individual teachers and teams of teachers on technology integration.
- Supports campus and district improvement plans
10.Exhibits a high level of ethics and confidentiality in regards to student and teacher records and classroom
performance.
- Works with Campus Instructional Technology Facilitators in promotion of district technology initiatives.
